The Society

Society members

Founded in 1976, the Clarinet and Saxophone Society was formed for the benefit of everyone who has an interest in the clarinet or saxophone and their repertoire.

CASS is for everyone, whether young or old, amateur or professional. CASS has as its aim the promotion of the clarinet and saxophone and their music. To this end it publishes a quarterly magazine, organises regular conferences and workshops and runs an extensive music library.

Single reed choir

The British Saxophone and Clarinet Congresses are held bi-annually sponsored by CASS. Single Reed days are held around the country, often organised by members themselves.

The society is affiliated to the European Clarinet and Saxophone Society and the International Clarinet association. Members are kept informed of the relevant activities of these organisations.
