Martin Fröst launches 'Martin Fröst Foundation'

This article was posted on 1 Apr 2019.

Swedish clarinettist Martin Fröst has announced the launch of the 'Martin Fröst Foundation' supported by Buffet Crampon. The purpose of the foundation is to give children and young people around the world the opportunity to receive music education, enable access to instruments and develop the classical concert form for future generations. Buffet Crampon will donate instruments and provide financial support to the project.

Fröst commented: 'Because of recent developments in my life, I took some important personal decisions and also made some crucial artistic choices. The most important of these were to start the foundation. I am so happy that we are finally making this happen and for the great and generous support by Buffet Crampon.”

The launch of the foundation takes place at the Stockholm Concert Hall, Sweden on 23 April, followed by launches in Beijing, Paris, New York and London later in 2019.
