Final of the CASSGB Young Saxophone Soloist Competition

This article was posted on 16 Oct 2019.

The final of the CASSGB Young Saxophone Soloist Competition will be held at the Craxton Studios in London on 12th January.

Charlotte Harding has written a specially commissiioned piece for young saxophone players from around the UK to play and submit a recording, along with their own choice of reperoire. We have had an overwhelming response to the competition, with six finalists being selected to perform in the final, where they will choose their own repertoire to perform in a 15 minute recital.

  • 1st Prize - £1500 + invitation to perform at 2020 CASS Single Reed Day
  • 2nd Prize - £1000
  • 3rd Prize - £500

The final will start at 4.30 pm and CASS members are welcome to come and watch. Tickets are free, but  places in the audience are strictly limited. Please email membership@cassgb.org if you are interested in attending.

The final will be preceded by the CASS Annual General Meeting at 4.00 pm.
