This year’s EFG London Jazz Festival takes place from 13 to 22 November, with a programme of both digital and in-person events under the banner ‘Living in Two Worlds’. The revised format brings together live concerts, a digital platform that streams live and bespoke content, interactive engagement projects, films, webinars and more – much of which is free!
Among the single-reed highlights is a live, and also livestreamed, concert with clarinettist, saxophonist and composer Shabaka Hutchings at London’s Barbican (18 Nov), who will perform Copland’s Clarinet Concerto, alongside the Britten Sinfonia, as well as Stravinsky’s Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet leading into a solo improvisation.
