CASSGB online Clarinet & Saxophone Soloist Competition winners

Congratulations to Adam Lee (age 21) and Martha Cullen (age 22) who are the respective winners of the CASSGB online clarinet and saxophone competition which was held this Spring.

Entrants had to submit a video performance of a 12 minute programme of music, with the clarinets adjudicated by Janet Hilton and Andrew Marriner, and the saxophones adjudicated by Richard Ingham and Sarah Markham.

Adam is a student at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where he is taught by John Cushing. His prize winning programme consisted of the Camille Saint-Saëns - Clarinet Sonata, 1st mvt and Burble by Rory Boyle.

Martha has been studying at the Royal Northern College of Music where she has been taught by Rob Buckland & Carl Raven. For her programme on alto and soprano saxophone she played the Manuel de Falla - Spanish Dance from La Vida Brève and Klonos by Piet Swerts.

Both prize winners won a cash prize of £300
